Guidelines for Storefront (Site sales) Locations

  • All scouts are expected to be in their full class “A” uniform when they are at Storefront locations (Scout uniform shirt, neckerchief and slide, belt and appropriate shorts/pants).
  • A parent is expected to stay with their scout at all times during their designated storefront slots. NO DROPPING OFF SCOUTS AND LEAVING!!
  • When at Storefront locations, all scouts are expected to behave in accordance with the twelve points of the Scout Law at all time in order to portray to the public a positive impression of Pack 89 and the Boy Scouts of America. Remember that the way you act in public is the way the public will view our Pack!!
  • Do not enter Storefront establishment during your shift. Use the restroom before arriving and bring water with you.
  • The scout’s parents with the first time slot in the morning are responsible for picking up the booth materials (table, pop-up, banner, Popcorn costume, money box, etc.) and the Storefront popcorn inventory the night before their allotted time slot or earlier from either the parent responsible for storing these materials for the Pack. Additionally, the parent closing down the booth for the evening is responsible for either getting the booth materials to the next person setting up the booth, or the parent responsible for storing these materials for the Pack.
  • Time slots for each scout are 2 hours at a time.
  • Scouts are expected to be on time for their shifts and remain for the entire duration of their shift. Any scout that shows up late or leaves early will not receive a full share of that day’s popcorn sales, their sales will be pro-rated according to the amount of time that they were present at the booth.
  • Only the scouts that have signed up online for that day’s shifts will be entitled to receive a split of the proceeds from that weekend’s sales.
  • All sales from each Storefront location will be divided between those scouts that worked the booth that particular day. For example, if on a day 12 scouts worked shifts at a Storefront location and all locations sold $1,200 that day, each scout will be credited with $100 in sales, not just a split of the money earned during their particular 2-hour shift.
